Dave is a Certified Responsible Investment Adviser with over 20 years of experience in financial planning. He specialises in building "portfolios of purpose" — aligning clients' financial strategies with their values to drive real-world impact.

Recognised as one of Financial Standard's Power 50 Most Influential Advisers, Dave served as a director of the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) from 2019 to 2023 and holds RIAA’s Certified Responsible Investment Adviser accreditation.

He is a long-time advocate for responsible investing, climate action and democratic integrity, and contributes regularly to national conversations through publications like the Australian Financial Review and Sydney Morning Herald. Dave is also an active impact investor, focused on environmental and social themes.

Holding a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, he is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.

Dave is passionate about educating clients and the wider industry on how investments can create positive change without compromising returns. Outside of work, he enjoys road cycling, mountain biking, and living a life of balance and purpose.

Justin is a Certified Responsible Investment Adviser with nearly 20 years of experience in responsible investment, ethical finance and innovation. He helps individuals, families and NFPs align their finances with their values to shape a more just and regenerative future, grounded in long-term thinking and meaningful outcomes.

Before co-founding UNLESS, Justin was a Financial Adviser at Ethinvest, served nearly a decade on the board of RIAA, co-founded the Ethical Advisers’ Co-op and led The Emerald Club, where he launched Australia’s first platform dedicated to responsible investment for retail and wholesale clients.

He has contributed on ethical finance for The Guardian and Australian Financial Review, and is regularly invited to contribute his perspective on finance’s role in accelerating positive change.

Holding a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services, Justin is also a Fellow of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership, with a deep interest in systems change and catalytic impact.

Outside of work, he is a Non-Executive Director at Parents for Climate, a community fire unit member, and a dad of two. You’ll often find him coaching his son’s soccer team, working on a DIY project, or spending time in nature with his family.

As Co-Founder of UNLESS, Marissa brings expertise in sustainable finance and shareholder advocacy, helping clients make confident financial decisions that align with their values and create real-world impact.

She has over six years of experience working with individuals, families and NGOs, including at Ethinvest, where she led shareholder engagement and collaborated with advocacy groups on climate and human rights issues in banking and fossil fuels.

Marissa holds a Bachelor of Business, a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning (Distinction) and a Diploma in UN Studies. She is currently based in Amsterdam, completing a Master’s in Economics (Global Challenges), and leads UNLESS’s sustainability strategy.

SENIOR CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

Bella brings a calm, thoughtful presence to UNLESS, helping guide clients through every stage of the advice journey with care and clarity. She draws on broad technical experience across strategy, modelling and implementation to ensure our clients feel supported and empowered.

Before joining UNLESS, Bella worked at William Buck and HLB Mann Judd, managing client relationships and assisting in private investment execution and strategic advice.

She holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance (Distinction) and is completing a Certificate in Carbon Literacy. Bella is also an active mentor and volunteer, supporting financial inclusion, youth development and social impact through her work with Global Sisters, RESN and A Sound Life.

CHIEF INNOVATION OFFICER (Fractional)

As the Fractional Chief Innovation Officer, Lucy brings a creative, future-focused lens to impact-driven strategies, helping shape a seamless and engaging experience for Unless’ clients. Lucy believes that every business can be regenerative, with 13+ years of experience partnering with small to large organisations, globally. 

Formerly, Lucy established the Sustainability Studio at Accenture Song in APAC after her time at Fjord - Innovation Design agency in APAC & Europe, where she led transformative projects, winning the Cannes Titanium Award for her teams’ work with Tuvalu Digital Nation. She is also the Co-Founder of Perspectives, a Berlin-based art exhibition series amplifying diverse voices on critical social issues. And is an alumni of the Regenesis Institute.
